Safety and maritime security is part of everything we do and is effectively managed using Guernsey Harbours' Marine Safety Management System (MSMS).
The MSMS is a framework which establishes and describes an integrated approach to effectively manage maritime safety, health and safety, maritime security and the management of risk in St Peter Port and St Sampson's harbours, and where applicable, the territorial seas of the Bailiwick.
The MSMS has been developed and structured to comply with international maritime safety and security requirements. The Hazard Reporting Scheme is a formal process for employees and port users to report all accidents, incidents and hazards.
