Crane Operator - PSE Grade D
Guernsey Ports operates the 24/7 harbours of St Peter Port and St Sampson providing the facilities that support lifeline freight and passenger services to the Bailiwick. Our Crane Operators drive cranes, RORO ramps, passenger gangways and supporting equipment. They will conduct maintenance, upkeep and housekeeping tasks on all such equipment complying with both operational procedures and health and safety policy to ensure that all equipment is operated in a safe manner, reporting any defects, incidents and accidents promptly.
Mechanical Fitter - PSE Grade F
The Mechanical Fitter will be a member of the Guernsey Ports Technical Services Team, which undertakes a full range of mechanical and electrical installations, building maintenance and repair services encompassing all trades across the Ports estates. The postholder is required to assist in various tasks across all areas in an ever-changing day to day role. This work includes building maintenance, the installation of new infrastructure and the maintenance of a range of plant and equipment.
Airports Fire Manager - Guernsey and Alderney Airports - SO1/SO2
The Airports Fire Manager (AFM) is responsible for the safe and efficient leadership and management of the Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting Service (RFFS) function and emergency planning for both Guernsey and Alderney Airports. The postholder has line-management responsibility for the resources comprising the Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting Service (RFFS) function for both Guernsey and Alderney Airports. The postholder will maintain close working relationships with the Guernsey/Alderney Fire & Rescue Services and other emergency services.
Airfield Operations Officer - Alderney Airport - PSE Grade D
Our airport and airside operations cover a broad range of activities, providing great career opportunities. The team is involved in many meaningful activities in the airport. You will be undertaking daily runway inspections in accordance with the required regulation. Undertake daily wildlife control ensuring a compliant management programme is in place at the airport. You'll be supporting Alderney Airport Fire and Rescue Service in ensuring the airport's habitat is well maintained. You'll be carrying out the periodic bird monitoring programme outside the airport boundary, compiling and producing bird data reports showing trend analysis, hot spot analysis and inform the habitat management programme. Responsible for airside safety compliance and to advise the Head of Airside Operations on any matters of concern or non compliance.
