Guernsey Ports manages and operates the Bailiwick's maritime gateways of St Peter Port and St Sampson's Harbours. Guernsey Ports also provides staffing for Guernsey Coastguard. Our mission is to ensure these gateways remain open, safe and secure.

The Maintenance Technician/Plumber will be a member of the Guernsey Ports Technical Services Team, which undertakes a full range of mechanical, electrical and plumbing installations, building maintenance and repair services across the Ports estates.

The postholder is required to assist in various tasks across all areas in an ever-changing day to day role.

This work includes plumbing maintenance, the installation of new infrastructure and the maintenance of the Ports water safety management systems.

 

The Equipment Technician will be responsible for assisting in the safe operation of Guernsey Harbours commercial dive team, which will include the servicing and repair of all diving equipment.

The postholder will assist in the planning and execution of diving projects undertaken in the harbours, marinas and at sea. He/she will maintain other Ports plant and equipment as required.

The postholder will maintain strict document control associated with the servicing of all dive and safety equipment.

 

The Maintenance Electrician will be a member of the Guernsey Ports Technical Services Team, which undertakes a full range of mechanical and electrical installations, building maintenance and repair services encompassing all trades across the Ports estates.

The postholder will be responsible for maintaining electrical and electronic engineering systems, industrial wiring and large electric motors.

The postholder will carry out planned preventative maintenance on plant and electrical machinery as required by maintenance schedules.

 

Airport Electricians undertake a full range of mechanical and electrical installations, maintenance and repair services encompassing a variety of services. 

These include airfield lighting, electrical/mechanical plant, vehicle electrical systems, conveyor systems, baggage scanners, standby generator/UPS systems and control systems associated with these services.
