A new opportunity is waiting for an electrician at Guernsey Ports based at Guernsey Airport. The post-holder will work on a shift rota to maintain the operational hours of the airport (0530 to 2100) daily. The successful applicant will cover a variety of tasks to include airfield lighting, electrical /mechanical plant, conveyor systems and other control systems associated in the operation of the airport. Working as part of a small team, we can offer good rates of pay with an associated shift allowance, annual holidays and an career-average defined benefit pension scheme.
An exciting opportunity for an electrician to join the technical services team at Guernsey Ports based at St Peter Port Harbour. St Peter Port and St Sampsons Harbours are the main maritime freight and passenger routes into Guernsey, Guernsey and the wider islands of the Bailiwick are popular destination for visiting vessels. Maintaining the operation of the harbours and the surrounding infrastructure ensures no two days are the same. The post entails domestic and commercial wiring along with planned maintenance and emergency repairs on electric cranes, electronic systems and aids to navigation and lighthouses in Bailiwick waters.
