Mariners are being warned the Sill Gate at the St Sampson Marina will be locked into the upright position, with the indicating light fixed at RED, until further notice in the latest Local Notices to Mariners.
This is due to the structure needing urgent repairs and to prevent equipment failure.
Mariners, and St Sampson boat users are reminded the raised gate is one metre in height. The height of water above the gate is indicated by the fixed tide gauge on site.
Guernsey Harbours will issue a further notice when repairs are completed and inspected.
